Tatyana Dmytrivna Bakhteeva is a Doctor of Medical Sciences (since 2008), CEO of Donetsk Oblast Clinical Territorial Medical Association, People's Deputy of Ukraine,[1] Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada Health Care Committee (since July 2006), a member of the Party of Regions fraction (since May 2006), a member of Party of Regions Political Council.

Tatyana Bakhteeva was born on November 27, 1953 in Donetsk, Ukraine. She is divorced, her ex-husband Alimzhan Bakhteev is working in bus transfer services; they have a common daughter Irina Valitova (born in 1975), who is teaching at Donetsk Medical University[2][3]
In 1977 Tatyana Bakhteeva graduated from Donetsk Medical University as a GP, in 2002 she obtained Diploma in Economics in Donetsk State University of Economics and Trade named after M. Tugan-Baranovsky; after that she became a People's Deputy of Ukraine from Party of Regions[4] and never returned to medicine.[5][6] In 2002 she received her Ph.D. in medical sciences with the thesis "Neurotic disorders in women".[7]
Tatyana Bakhteeva was No.7 in 2010' rating of 100 most influential Ukrainian women according to Ukrainian magazine Focus.[13] Tatyana Bakhteeva is the founder of Donetsk Oblast charity foundation "Humaneness"[14] and the Honoured Doctor of Ukraine.
In May 2002 Tatyana Bakhteeva was elected People's Deputy of Ukraine from Party of Regions, has worked in 4th, 5th and 6th Verkhovna Radas. In the 5th and 6th Verkhovna Radas she took the post of Head of Health Care committee.
